About the Workshop

There is an abundance of information available on howt oa chieve a healthy mind, body and soul. You may feel that, despite all of the information, it is difficult to know how or where to start. You may ask, how do I stick to a routine? Which routine in best? Are there studies to the show the effectiveness of these methodologies? You need facts, not opinions. And you need them from someone who knows the facts and has experienced positive results in real life. What if you met someone that could answer your questions clearly?

In our inaugural workshop, we are honoured to have Dr. Bojana Jankovic join us from Los Angeles, alongside Parvinder Grewal, Avurveda & Yogo Practitioner.

About the Workshop Leaders

Dr. Bojana Jankovic

BojanaBojana Jankovic, MD, MS, is a board-certified internet with Ceders-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates.

Dr. Jankovic completed her internal medicine residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She earned her bachelor's degree in biophysics honours and master's degree in experimental medicine, followed by a medical doctorate from the University of British Columbia. In addition, she completed coursework in epidemiology at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Public Health.

Dr. Jankovic's special interests include preventative and integrative medicine, Ayurveda, mindfulness, meditation and women's health. She is dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals to achieve their optimal wellness. She is passionate about speaking on wellness and evidence-based ways in which we can transform and nourish our bodies and minds. She also writes for the Huffington Post Healthy Living Blog.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Jankovic has performed research in the areas of endocrinology and oncology, and published papers in peer-reviewed journals. She has also presented her work at conferences including the prestigious American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Jankovic has been the recipient of numerous honours and awards. She has also established herself as an educator, teaching UCLA medical students and precepting for the Cedars-Sinai internal medicine residency program.

Dr. Jankovic is a mother of two, a wife, a yogi, fitness fanatic, meditator, dog and nature lover.

Parvinder Grewal

ParvinderParvinder Grewal, Holistic Practitioner of Ayurveda and Yoga, is a member of the National Association for Holistic Health Practitioners.

As a child, Parvinder was always drawn to plants and fascinated with their medicinal qualities. She later went on to study Biology and Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Shortly afterwards she received an internship to South Asia and furthered her knowledge on indigenous plants and their application as medicine with the local healers. She went on to study Reflexology, Nutrition, Yoga and Herbology. Parvinder specialised in Ayurveda and completed a three-year practicum with a Senior Practitioner of Ayurveda at Revitalize Health Centre, where she also became the Director and Coordinator of one of Canada's largest integrated health centres.

With a passion for all aspects of health, Parvinder as coordinated some of Canada's most successful first-time large-scale events, including BrainSolutions Conference: Brain Health & Mental Wellness, Detoxification: Facts & Solutions and the very first United Nations International Day of Yoga. Parvinder now practices as a Holistic Practitioner of Ayurveda and Yoga in Surrey, BC.
