About the Instructor:

Neil McKinlay is a teacher, coach, and writer. A close student of Reggie Ray, Neil draws from his training in the tradition of Chogyam Trungpa to emphasize the accessibility and relevance of meditation in the modern world. Seeing the spiritual journey as an inherent part of the human journey, his teaching style is immediate and personal, always affirming the dignity and wholeness of our lives as they are.

Weekend offering:

Your Spacious Body

Exploring the Practice of Meditating With the Body

The journey of embodiment - our essential journey as human beings - is one of uncertainty, discovery, and surprise. As we come into increasingly intimate contact with our somatic reality, we realize time and again how limited habitual notions of ‘me’ actually are. In their place we find revelation and openness and ease.

This all-level workshop will continue our work with the practice of ‘Meditating with the Body’ as we explore somatic space in a direct and experiential way. Mixing guided meditation and group discussion, we will touch the inherent groundedness of our being and find ourselves able to engage our lives more fully than ever before.

Participants are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing, and to bring a blanket and mat to lay on. Should participants have a meditation cushion or bench, these are recommended - otherwise, chairs will be available.

Cost:

$100 for the weekend

$60 for one day only
