Dates: Saturdays in January 2020 (January 4th–25th
Do you want to feel more at home in, and connected to, your body?
Would you like to have tools to regulate your nervous system, at your disposal, at all times?
Do you have any unruly mind, which loves to jump around incessantly, seldom settling for more than a moment?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above, then come learn the basics of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga: a simple yet powerful movement-meditation practice, highly adaptable to individual needs and life-situations.
In simply giving purposeful attention to posture, breathing and vision, we can all create more potential for dynamic balance, energized calm and expansive focus in our lives.
Do you wish you weren't restricted by the usual 60-, 75- and 90-minute yoga class formats, where you're never quite sure who or what you're gonna get?
At the core of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is "Assisted Self-Practice", which empowers you to become your own teacher right from the start. Each step of the practice is learned slowly, by-heart, so you can set your own pace each day and honour the needs of the moment.
A 20-year student and 15-year teacher of yoga, Geoff Mackenzie of Mysore BC will guide you through a fundamental series of techniques, leading you toward an independent, self-guided approach to yoga practice.
No previous experience is required.
All levels of practitioner are welcome to attend.
Capacity is strictly limited to ensure individual attention.
